| Starting from the car park at Scaling Dam, skirted the southern edge of the dam before heading south on a footpath, swinging south-east and then north-east to Redmire Farm. Continued north-east over Pearson's Rigg, crossing the main road and down the Ugthorpe Road. Turned north by the windmill on a footpath to Mickleby, continuing north along the road to another northerly footpath to join the Cleveland way on Runswick Sands. Into Runswick and then along the road to Hinderwell. A footpath lead south to Newton Mulgrave, followed by a byway south. Turned west on a bridleway to Roxby Low Moor and from there a byway lead back to the car park. 15 miles approx. |
