| From Eglingham, a bridleway lead south-east, following Eglingham Burn to a road. North on the road a short distance and then east on a footpath through Shipley and on to the B6346. At this point the plan had been to walk through Hulne Park, but all entrances were closed so a long trudge down the B6346 into Alnwick was the only option. Took a footpath along the northern bank of the River Aln, under the A1 before crossing the river to joining a track back under the A1 and back into Alnwick. 10 miles approx. |
